83 days.....

(give or take a few) until our baby girl arrives!! I can't believe I am 28 weeks. Gracie is the size of a Chinese cabbage this week.

I was sitting in the Dr's office yesterday and it hit me! In less than 3 months we are going to be parents!! We are both so excited and can't wait to meet her!!! Of course we have not started on the nursery. I know, this is horrible!! I have ordered her bedding and have all her furniture picked out and we plan on ordering it all next week. Josh promises he will have the nursery painted within the next two weeks. I am hoping for a rain day this week so he can get it tackled!!! Hes been so laid back about getting things ready up until the other day I mentioned something I was going to get for the nursery and he said, "We need to get everything set up soon, shes almost here!" Its so sweet seeing him talk to my belly every night. Everyone keeps telling him shes going to have him wrapped around her little finger and he knows they are right!! He is going to be a wonderful daddy and I just can't wait to see the two of them together!! :)

What a week....

Last week was a doozie!! We got home from Florida Saturday before last. We arrive home to find our A/C AND Water were out!!! Lovely!!!!! Sunday morning Josh got the well fixed, so we had water, but no such luck with the air. Evidently the fan motor went out? (I don't know whats wrong with it, i just know it isn't working!!!) We called home warranty and of course they say it will be Tuesday before they can come. It was pretty hot in the house, so we went and bought a window unit so we could stay at the house. At this point, Josh says we are NEVER going on vacation again! haha! Soo all is fine and dandy.. the house has cooled off, and we have water! We head to bed and it starts storming around 1 am. At 1:48 the power goes out.... yup, that's right.... i panic... how am I going to get ready for work if the power doesn't come back on???? I make sure my phone alarm is set and try to go back to sleep. The power comes back on at 3:18 and I am soooo happy!!! I wake up and start getting ready for work (its still storming) and what do you know... the power goes out, AGAIN!! I don't have my makeup on...lovely! It starts getting hot really fast in the house soooo I grab my makeup and keys and go sit in the 4 runner and put on my makeup with the air going full blast! lol! I run in the house, get dressed and throw my straightener and makeup in a bag (i figure i will have to freshen up once I get to work). As i'm leaving, I tell Josh this day can't get any worse. I start on my journey to work. I get on the interstate and it starts sprinkling. By the time i'm halfway to work, it starts POURING...the car in front of me hits their brakes.... i tap mine cause I don't know what they are stopping for. They continue to hit their brakes, so I tap mine again and start to hydroplane. I move over to the left lane and when I do, I start fishtailing between the two lanes. Everything happened so fast, so I'm not really for sure what happened. I know I was sliding back and forth between the two lanes. All of a sudden I hit something with my front driver side and it spins me around and I am sliding backwards across the two lanes on the interstate. I thought I was never going to stop. I finally hit the guardrail on the right side of the interstate and eventually stop. I am panicking at this point cause it is pouring down rain and NO ONE is stopping. I start looking for my phone and I can't find it. I finally found it in the backseat between the seat and the door. I have to unbuckle and crawl in the back to get it. I call Josh to tell him whats happened. Of course i'm a nervous wreck and start bawling and he thinks i'm really hurt! He tells me he is on his way, but I knew it would take him atleast 30 mins to get there. I call 911, but I don't know the exit number I am at. I keep trying to tell her landmarks and that I know I am at the Arlington exit, I just don't know what number it is. 5 minutes after I wreck, a state trooper pulls up. I am not in any pain and feel ok at this point, just REALLY freaked out. I tell them I am 6 months pregnant and they insist I let them call an ambulance and go to the ER. I think this is ridiculous cause Josh and a friend of ours is on the way and they can take me, but everyone keeps saying I need to go by ambulance. Sooo, the ambulance arrives within 15 minutes of me wrecking. All this time, I am still sitting in the truck... they wouldn't let me move! They put a neck brace on me and put me on the board and load me up in the ambulance. My friend LaDeana that was on her way to the scene was on speaker phone with me and she said I kept sternly telling them this was ridiculous and not necessary! haha!!

We get to the ER and it is a total waste of my time! I sit there and the nurse can't even get the doppler to work. She is banging it on the bed. The dr walks in and takes over. Gracie had been moving around alot while I was in the ambulance, so that was relief to me. He gets the heartbeat, then tells me " If I don't feel baby move to my dr." (He was foreign and I could hardly understand anything he said!!!) We sit in the ER for an additional hour just waiting on them to bring my release papers over to be signed. I call my drs office as soon as they open and get an appointment with her. Of course I get there and they do an ultrasound and Miss Gracie is just fine. She was breech and hid her face the ENTIRE time.
We leave the hospital and head over to where they had the car towed to get all of our stuff out of it. I took a few pics while we were there.....

We found out last week my truck was totalled. I am soo lucky I wasn't hurt. The EMT's kept saying they couldn't believe the airbag didn't deploy and that I wasn't in any pain. Of course the day after the accident I was soo sore, but I am thankful Gracie and I were in good hands that Monday morning.
Now the car shopping begins! We are waiting on the insurance money to come in so we can make our purchase. Trying to deal with our total loss adjuster has been a joke. She won't ever answer her phone, yet would be emailing me at the same time I would be calling. UGH! Insurance Companies!! (Sorry Dad!!!)

Florida

We had a great time in Florida! We left last Tuesday evening and got to the beach house around 2:30 Wednesday morning. GPS lead us on a back route and of course hardly ANY gas stations were open in the middle of the night. (This is not a good thing for a preggo) Our time at the beach was very relaxing..and hot!!:) Caroline and I started off lounging by the pool every morning then headed to the beach around noon until around 5 each day. I do not have a tan at ALL this year. I burned the first day...even with spf 35! How sad! Usually I can just wear 5 and i'm fine!! Other than the fact I looked like Pinocchio all week, we had a great time!! The Blue Angels were practicing all week for the air show on Saturday, so we got to see them in action. It was pretty cool! Here are a few pics from our trip....

Josh taking his crab cage out to for his catch of the day with Rodney!

Josh and I at an Irish pub in Pensacola. I enjoyed a virgin pina colada... it was good at the time, but boy did I pay for the indigestion later that night! lol

Our last night in Pensacola!! :(

I am already looking forward to our trip to the beach next summer!!!

25 Weeks

Just my luck.... I have the day off, and i've been awake for the past hour!!! I can't seem to sleep past 7 am anymore, yet on the mornings I have to get up for work, I can't seem to wake up! Isn't that how it always goes!?!?!?!? I am soo glad we have a 3 day weekend. I headed to Heber after work yesterday and looking forward to enjoying the weekend with the fam! I am also loving all this attention I am getting. Everyone tells me to enjoy it, cause once the babies here, she will get all the attention. :) Last night Dad was trying to wait on me hand and foot. "Let me get that", "Don't get up, i'll do that". I finally looked at him and said, "I'm not handicapped!" (Even though my feet have started to swell some... not a good look on me!) I was showing Dad all Gracie's Ultrasound pics so far and had to point out what was what to him. He kept saying I just don't know if i'm ready for this! hahaha! Too bad Dad, you're about to be a Pop!! :)

Speaking of Miss Gracie, she is the size of a rutabaga this week.

I can tell my the looks of my belly she is definitely growing! She is starting to move around alot more!! Josh finally felt her kick a few weeks ago! I can't help but think about how she will look. Will she have hair or no hair? If she does, what color will it be? Whose facial features will she have? How much will she weigh? I think about all this constantly! I am just soo ready to meet her!

We are headed to Florida next week for a little vacation. I have to say I am soo ready! Not exactly looking forward to the 7 hour drive, but hopefully it will fly by! Caroline is going with us and we are meeting Josh's sister, dad and brother in law down there. I am looking forward to lounging on the beach with a good book! I need some sun! lol!

I just looked at the time and realized I need to start getting ready. I am getting my "hair did" this morning! :) I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! I have some other exciting news that I'll hopefully be able to post soon!! :) (just had to keep you all on your toes!! hehe)

I know I know.. i've been MIA and I don't even have a good excuse for it!!! With it being soooo soooo hot, all I want to do when I get off work is go home and relax in the A/C and with our internet being so slow, I have had no desire to use it! We finally got new internet service last week and i am sooo happy its faster! I can look at Etsy and not have to wait for an hour for the page to load! HA! I am addicted to that site!! Jasmin and I will text each other things we find on there and ohh and ahh over them! lol I just can't wait to play dress up with Miss Gracie!!

My bestest friend, Sarah, came to visit last weekend. We had soo much fun!! We don't get to see each other very often, so I was excited about her visit. We went to the Melting Pot Sat night for dinner. Sarah had never been before. We were there for like 2 1/2 hours! Of course I left my camera at home, but I snapped a picture of our desert tray before we ate it all! Ohhh, i just love that place!!!

Sunday we went downtown for lunch and to see Wicked. I really enjoyed it and the Orpheum was soo nice!! I can't wait to go back and see another show! This time I remembered my camera, but we were only able to take one self portrait and of course it wasn't the greatest of me! ha!

While i'm playing catch up, I totally meant to make a "Father's Day" post and never got around to it. I was so sad I wasn't able to see my dad on Fathers day. He did get his gift and he said it was one of his favorite fathers day gifts so far! I am so honored and blessed to have such wonderful parents and I know that they are going to be the greatest grandparents! (Mom has already asked if we can plan to meet halfway every weekend! ha) I had one of my high school friends make this plaque for dad to put in his office.

I just LOVE it!! Thanks again Lindsey!! :) Check out her site Kicks and Giggles. She has lots of cute stuff and of course I've already made a list of the things I want her to make for Gracie!! :) I can't forget to mention I also had a cute camo onesie made for Josh for Father's Day. He loved it! It is a 6-9 month so she can wear it this time next year, but it still soo tiny! He kept picking it up and just smiling. I reminded him we could get her a cute camo bow to go with it!! :)
