Turkey Day.....

I know i'm alittle behind on blogs!! Our new internet connection is really slow at times!! We had a great Thanksgiving. We left Tuesday afternoon and went to Benton and stayed the night with Zach and Jasmin in their new house!! (thanks again guys for having us) Josh got to do some Deer hunting with my grandpa and cousins on Wednesday. All the family got together at my grandparents Thursday for lunch. Of course we ate way too much, but it was soo good to see everyone! I don't get to see my family as much and i'd like, so I was really glad I got to enjoy a few days with them!!

We are finally settled in the house! I will post some pictures soon!! Josh mounted our tv last night and we did a little touching up on the painting. I wasn't paying attention and spilt paint on the carpet and on the side of our new comforter! :*( I am hoping to find something that will take it out! Just my luck!! ahhhh

My parents and sister are coming this weekend to stay with us and i'm really excited to see them!! Mom, Caroline and I are going to fight the crowds and do some Christmas shopping!! Sad, but I haven't even started my shopping yet! Hopefully it won't be too bad!!

Well, I hope everyone has a wonderful week!!!

Here are some pictures from our Thanksgiving!

Getting closer...

We are finally getting closer to moving in our new house!! I spent Saturday running around town picking out and buying all the things we needed. I had alot of fun "spending money":) Josh didn't like that idea, but it had to be done!
Nothing too exciting has been going on these past few weeks! I had a great birthday!! It all started on Halloween! I got to work and the girls at work had decorated my desk. It was so cute! They also surprised me with a potluck breakfast (soo yummy) and an awesome Ice Cream cake later on in the afternoon.

Isn't it cute!?!?! Even they call me AK-47! I guess i'll always have that nickname!! Ohhh and they some yummmy smelling Victoria Secret!! I had such a great day and it wasn't even my bday yet!! My parents stopped in town their way back from Ole Miss on Sunday. We met them downtown and had my bday lunch and then my hubby took me to a movie. We had my sisters car for the weekend and I forgot her clocks weren't set back. The movie started at 4 and we thought it was 3:45. We walk in and Josh gets some popcorn and a coke. I realize about 2 minutes later that the clock wasn't set back and we have an hour and 15 mins to spare!! AHHHH what fun!!!
Hopefully i'll have some pics of the house to post after this weekend!! My wonderful friend Sarah is coming up Friday and helping me finish painting! Now if thats not a true friend, then I don't know what is! Thanks again, Sarah!! I mean how many people truly enjoy painting?? Not me for sure!!! Alot of the stuff I bought for the house had to be ordered, so by next weekend we should have everything in! yippiieee!!!
Hope everyone is enjoying this fall weather.... i don't like the cold... i am already ready for spring or summer!!!

Happy Birthday JOSH!!!

Today is my hubby's birthday!! We spent the day at the hunt test in Ripley, TN. This was my first time going to a hunt test and Josh's first time running a dog in one. I must say it was pretty interesting. I thought I was going to be bored out of my mind and was really dreading it, but it wasn't bad at all. I took some pictures and have some videos of Josh running Abby, but we go back again tomorrow, so I'm going to wait and upload everything tomorrow night.

Josh was checking his voicemail just a bit ago. (we didn't have service all day) He had lots of messages of people singing "Happy Birthday" My dad was probably the funniest!! The best message was from one of Josh's bestfriends. He called to wish him a Happy Birthday and told him to have fun training dogs, washing windows, pressure washing, mowing and landscaping. (i hope i didn't forget anything!) Zach, you are right, he is a "jack of all trades". It seems like there isn't much that Josh can't do. He works so hard at everything he does.. and yes, sometimes I get mad cause I think he works tooo much, but he enjoys it, for the most part!! I am so proud of him and so lucky to have him as my husband. I love this guy sooo much. Here is a picture from his surprise party last year! Looks like he was having a good time, huh!?!?

I hope everyone enjoys the rest of the weekend!!!

TGIF!!!

Can I just say how glad I am that today is FRIDAY!! Not only cause its the weekend, but my hubby will be home!! Josh has been out of town all week for work. My truck started messing up Saturday afternoon. Sunday morning we couldn't start it. So, I've been drivin' the F250 (tank is what I like to cal it) all week. I am starting to feel manly!! Not to mention the fact that Josh's truck was FILTHY!! So I drove it all week and finally decided yesterday to take it and have it cleaned. Boy does it look like a new truck! They cleaned the inside and out. I told Josh I never knew his floorboard was black, i thought it was brown cause of all the dirt on it! :) He got back in town around 2, but hasn't seen it yet. I think he'll be in for a shock when he sees how shiny it is! Karen even commented on how shiny the rims are! OHH YEA!

Josh's birthday is tomorrow and I told him since he left me with a nasty, dirty truck, part of his gift was having it cleaned. But today on my way back from lunch, I had to stop and get some diesel. After pulling in 2 stations that didn't have diesel, (I'm getting frustrated) I finally pulled into one that did. I said I was only going to put $10 dollars in because I am going straight home after work and dang, diesel is alot more expensive then the gas I'm used to getting!! So I start the pump up and wait for it to get to $10. I keep waiting.... and waiting. It is at like $7.00 and already has like 15 gallons in it. I am thinking to myself, something isn't right. I figured they had the numbers switched and I was really paying $15 for 7 gallons. All the sudden the pump clicks (you know how it does when the tank is full) and I wait for a receipt to print out. It says to see clerk. So by now I am nervous that I put like 70 bucks worth of diesel in the truck. I walk in the store and the attendant is on the phone. I tell him I need my receipt for #1 and tell him the pump was super slow and I just wanted to make sure I was only charged for $10 worth of gas (keep in mind he is still on the phone talking to me and the person on the line at the same time). He looked at the receipt and agreed that I was charged for $9.49 and apologizes for the tank being slow and tells me that someone else complained about that earlier today. OK, so that's fine with me. I get back in the tank and put my card up and stuff. I am pulling out of the gas station and realize I have a full tank. I call Josh to see how much it usually takes to fill his truck up. He tells me 70 to 100 bucks. I pull into work and look at my receipt and this is what I see!!

Oh my gosh! I am freaking out! I called Josh to ask him what I need to do. He said its their fault, don't do anything. (ok so i censored his response a bit!) Evidently word has gotten around town. Memphis isn't that small. Josh went back up there and he said there were some fed ex guys that heard about it and drove across town to fill up. I told Josh now I really don't have to buy him anything for his birthday! He has a shiny, clean truck and a full tank of diesel!! LOL!! :)

Welp, I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! I am so glad the weather is going to be nice. I am sure I will be posting again soon with some pictures of our weekend!!!!

Thankful.....

Did I not say I had the GREATEST family ever!?!?! I was sitting at my desk this morning and my phone rang. It was our receptionist telling me I had flowers at the front desk. I asked her several times if she was sure they were for me. She kept laughing and saying YES!!! I walked up to the front desk and kept thinking to myself who would send me flowers?!? I know it wouldn't be Josh... (he would have just brought them home, not had them delivered! haha) I get to the front desk and this is what I see.

Of course it had a sweet card with it too!! How cute is this!?!?! I am so lucky my mom was blessed with 3 little sisters that make the greatest aunts!!! Now I have cute fall decor for my desk!!!

Here is a picture of Max! I caught him drinking out of the toilet a few weeks ago. Josh didn't believe me when I told him. He said Max wasn't tall enough to drink out of the toilet. I had been trying to "catch him in the act", so I could get a picture. This weekend my friend Sarah and I were sitting in the bedroom talking. She snapped this picture with my phone. Its alittle fuzzy, but it was proof to Josh!!!

First entry.....

After reading other blogs, I decided I should start one as well! I mean what else do I have to do with my free time? (Don't ask Josh that question.... I'm sure he could think of lots of things I should be doing...especially things that don't involve the Internet!!).

We just bought our first house... FINALLY!!! We only made our first offer on this house back in May!!! I definitely never knew buying a house was soo stressful, especially one that a bank owns! But we are happy that everything finally worked out for us and we are homeowners!! So much has been going on these past few weeks we have only been out to look at it once since we closed.... well ok, correction.. I went to look, Josh went to bushog!! Josh is anxious to get his kennel built and get everything set up the way he wants it. I on the other hand am just ready for him to start painting so we can move in!! We are hoping to get started on that this weekend and be moved in by the end of October. So if anyone is around the Whiteville area Saturday and has absolutely nothing to do, we have extra paint brushes!! lol!! Here is a picture I took of the house awhile back! Not the greatest pic, but its the only one I had on my work computer!!

With all that has gone on these past two weeks, I have realized what a wonderful family and group of friends we have. I mean I always knew I had the greatest family ever and the best group of friends. Thanks for all the prayers, phone calls, emails, texts, hugs, cards and I could go on and on! It all means soo much to us and we are so thankful for all of you!! :)

Oh yea, If anyone has any advice they can lend me on how to make the cute headers with the pictures, let me know. I think I spent most of my day at home yesterday trying to figure that out!!!
