Weekend Fun!

Last Saturday we headed to Jonesboro for the day. My aunts, grandma and cousin were in Jonesboro for the week, while my cousin was at Cheer Camp. It was sooo good getting to see some of my family! I hate being so far away from them and not getting to see everyone as often as i'd like. Of course lil miss Gracie got some gifts! Thanks again Mema, Aunt Terri and Aunt Sherri!! :) She now has enough clothes to get her through her first two weeks with us! haha!! We hung out with them for awhile then of course went to eat at our favorite place... El Acapulco!! :)

We helped host a shower for some friends that night as well. It was good visiting with everyone! We drove back that night, so it was a very long day for me! We pulled in the driveway around 1 am. I definitely wasn't worth much the next day!! :)

Here is the cake I had made for the shower. I thought it turned out so cute and yummy! A friend recommended this girl to me and I'm so glad she was able to do the cake for us! I told Josh I wanted to start making cakes! I love being in the kitchen so much, I think it would be fun to experiment with different flavors, designs, etc.

This weekend has been a good one as well!! Friday night I got tickets from work to the Sugarland/Keith Urban concert. Of course some horrible storms came through our area around 5 Friday night. Power was out everywhere, so we were glad the concert was still on. We got to the suite and were the only ones there for the longest! After the concert started people started slowly piling in. At one point Keith Urban made his way through the crowd and stopped down right in front of the suite and performed for awhile. Of course I forgot my camera at home, and all I had was my phone. Its blurry, but oh well!!

Sugarland and Keith Urban both put on a good show and Josh and I had a great time! It was good to have a night out just the two of us! We know it won't be as easy for us to have date nights before too long!! :) Last night my hubby took me out again! Two nights in a row definitely hasn't happened in awhile! Josh had to pick up a dog in Germantown, so we went to visit with some friends and josh took me to dinner before we headed to get Bullet. We start heading home and I said something about how a concrete sounded good. My sweet hubby turned the car around and went back in town to get me one! This totally shocked me! I can't tell you how many times I say something sounds good, but I don't necessarily mean I want or need it! Ahh, I just love frozen custard. What a great way to end the night!! Ok, I have to stop talking about it before I get all hungry again!! :)
