Nothing too exciting to blog about this week. We got some snow again last Wednesday. Nothing like the snow and ice parts of Arkansas got, but we were happy to see it for awhile! It started sleeting around 6:00 that morning, then snowing pretty heavy. Schools were canceled, but I went ahead and got up to get ready for work. An hour after all this had started our yard and driveway were completely white! Josh drove to the end of our street, which was completely covered as well. So I got myself a snow day! The main road we turn on to get to the interstate (11 miles away) was a little slick, so I decided to not even chance it. Of course by noon the roads were completely clear! But I enjoyed a day at home with my hubby! After lunch we went out for a ride on the 4wheeler. We bundled up, cause it was sooo cold! Josh got some coveralls on sale after christmas. Of course they were 2 sizes to big for me, but I piled on lots of layers underneath!

Josh took this picture and we sent it to my mom. She texted me back to tell Josh he looked soo cute! HAHA thanks Mom! Of course our ride didn't last too long. It was soo cold, but luckily Josh was driving, so he shielded my face... how sweet of him!
I'm still on my cooking streak. After we got home I whipped up this yummy Chocolate Chip Pound Cake.

Josh ate the last bite of it night before last... so sad!

What a week!!!

What a week!! Even though I only had a 4 day work week, the days sure seemed to drag on this week! I am ready for the weekend. Last weekend I did lots of baking! I wanted to try out some new recipes I had found. I must say everything turned out yummmy! First I made some cake balls. These are super easy and everyone thats tried them out have LOVED them! Here is a picture of the cake balls before being dipped.

I used red velvet cake mix with cream cheese icing. Then I dipped them in almond bark... yummmmy!!

These were sooo good! I will definately be making them again! I like how you can make different varietys and flavors and they are just so cute!! I went to visit some of my Dads college friends at one of the hospitals here last Saturday and took them some. Mom said they called a few days later and said the cake balls were delicious and called me Betty Crocker! haha! I also made a yummy Ooey Gooey Cake, some toffee bars, sweet rolls, soup and a couple casseroles. Yes, I was on a roll. A friend of ours gave me a recipe about a year ago for a Shrimp Casserole. If you like shrimp you will LOVE this casserole. It is soo easy and super yummy!

Josh wasn't patient enough to wait for me to get a picture! So excuse the big spoonful thats missing. Luckily we haven't been home much this week, or all of our sweets would have been gone by now! Josh definately has a sweet tooth! (i'm in the process of making a recipe blog, but if you want any of the recipes, just let me know!)

This is the last weekend of Duck Season. However, Josh has somehow managed to find some boys to take next weekend for the juvenile hunt. He just can't get away from those woods! He has very recently (as of yesterday) become self employed. I guess this means even more hunting next year!! He has always wanted Dog Training to be his full time job. So as of now, he will be concentrating on Dog Training and Landscaping. Josh is such a hard worker, so I am confident he can do this and so happy he is finally getting to pursue his dream and of course I am loving the fact he will have more "free time" now!!

We saw our first snow Tuesday morning. It started snowing on us as we were driving to work. By the time I dropped Josh off and got to work, it had really picked up. Here is a picture from our front door at work.

Of course it was all gone by lunch, but it was sooo pretty while it lasted!!!!

Shocker

Whoa... watch out... two posts in one week!! Shocking, I know!!! I am sitting here freezing at work waiting on our receptionist to get back from lunch. Boy am I glad its Friday AND I have a 3 day weekend!! Of course duck season isn't over yet, so i'll be by my lonesome this weekend. I have decided I am going to do lots of baking. Watch out Betty Crocker! I have found lots of new recipes I want to try and I figure it would give me something to do over my long weekend!! I am going to start up a recipe blog, so be on the lookout for some recipe posts. I'm trying to talk some friends into doing it as well. I figure this would be fun, so we shall see!!!
I leave you with a picture of Max in his sweater! This was taken over Thanksgiving at my grandparents house!!!

I'm alive!!!!!!!

So I am officially verrry behind on blogging!! Nothing too exciting has been going on, plus our internet connection at the house is grandma slow! Hopefully we will be able to get DSL out there one of these days...the joys of living in the middle of nowhere!!
We had a great Christmas!! It seems like Christmas snuck up on us this year. We went to my parents on Christmas Eve and stayed the weekend. I realized I hadn't been home since 4th of July! That is too long!! The day after Christmas a bunch of my high school friends got together for lunch. Of course we all "ohhhed and ahhhed" over the babies!! It was soo much fun to be able to catch up with my girlfriends! Its so hard for us to all get together these days. I just can't believe it has been 9 years since we were in High School! Phillip, Jelena and Graham came over to my parents before we all met up for lunch! Of course Mom and Dad were glad to see Phillip again and meet Graham! He is adorable!!! I'm so mad cause I took my camera, but didn't end up taking any pictures! We were too busy talking!! :)
Well, Duck season is almost over... sad day! hahah! Josh has this weekend and next left to enjoy! I'll be ready to have my husband back on the weekends! I've been a "hunting widow" since November! I told him
our weekends in Febuary are already booking with friends coming to visit, so get ready! Its sad but I have had to schedule friends coming to visit around these dang ducks!!! I sure hope I don't ever go in labor during duck season cause I may be on my own! hehe

Turkey Day.....

I know i'm alittle behind on blogs!! Our new internet connection is really slow at times!! We had a great Thanksgiving. We left Tuesday afternoon and went to Benton and stayed the night with Zach and Jasmin in their new house!! (thanks again guys for having us) Josh got to do some Deer hunting with my grandpa and cousins on Wednesday. All the family got together at my grandparents Thursday for lunch. Of course we ate way too much, but it was soo good to see everyone! I don't get to see my family as much and i'd like, so I was really glad I got to enjoy a few days with them!!

We are finally settled in the house! I will post some pictures soon!! Josh mounted our tv last night and we did a little touching up on the painting. I wasn't paying attention and spilt paint on the carpet and on the side of our new comforter! :*( I am hoping to find something that will take it out! Just my luck!! ahhhh

My parents and sister are coming this weekend to stay with us and i'm really excited to see them!! Mom, Caroline and I are going to fight the crowds and do some Christmas shopping!! Sad, but I haven't even started my shopping yet! Hopefully it won't be too bad!!

Well, I hope everyone has a wonderful week!!!

Here are some pictures from our Thanksgiving!

Getting closer...

We are finally getting closer to moving in our new house!! I spent Saturday running around town picking out and buying all the things we needed. I had alot of fun "spending money":) Josh didn't like that idea, but it had to be done!
Nothing too exciting has been going on these past few weeks! I had a great birthday!! It all started on Halloween! I got to work and the girls at work had decorated my desk. It was so cute! They also surprised me with a potluck breakfast (soo yummy) and an awesome Ice Cream cake later on in the afternoon.

Isn't it cute!?!?! Even they call me AK-47! I guess i'll always have that nickname!! Ohhh and they some yummmy smelling Victoria Secret!! I had such a great day and it wasn't even my bday yet!! My parents stopped in town their way back from Ole Miss on Sunday. We met them downtown and had my bday lunch and then my hubby took me to a movie. We had my sisters car for the weekend and I forgot her clocks weren't set back. The movie started at 4 and we thought it was 3:45. We walk in and Josh gets some popcorn and a coke. I realize about 2 minutes later that the clock wasn't set back and we have an hour and 15 mins to spare!! AHHHH what fun!!!
Hopefully i'll have some pics of the house to post after this weekend!! My wonderful friend Sarah is coming up Friday and helping me finish painting! Now if thats not a true friend, then I don't know what is! Thanks again, Sarah!! I mean how many people truly enjoy painting?? Not me for sure!!! Alot of the stuff I bought for the house had to be ordered, so by next weekend we should have everything in! yippiieee!!!
Hope everyone is enjoying this fall weather.... i don't like the cold... i am already ready for spring or summer!!!

Happy Birthday JOSH!!!

Today is my hubby's birthday!! We spent the day at the hunt test in Ripley, TN. This was my first time going to a hunt test and Josh's first time running a dog in one. I must say it was pretty interesting. I thought I was going to be bored out of my mind and was really dreading it, but it wasn't bad at all. I took some pictures and have some videos of Josh running Abby, but we go back again tomorrow, so I'm going to wait and upload everything tomorrow night.

Josh was checking his voicemail just a bit ago. (we didn't have service all day) He had lots of messages of people singing "Happy Birthday" My dad was probably the funniest!! The best message was from one of Josh's bestfriends. He called to wish him a Happy Birthday and told him to have fun training dogs, washing windows, pressure washing, mowing and landscaping. (i hope i didn't forget anything!) Zach, you are right, he is a "jack of all trades". It seems like there isn't much that Josh can't do. He works so hard at everything he does.. and yes, sometimes I get mad cause I think he works tooo much, but he enjoys it, for the most part!! I am so proud of him and so lucky to have him as my husband. I love this guy sooo much. Here is a picture from his surprise party last year! Looks like he was having a good time, huh!?!?

I hope everyone enjoys the rest of the weekend!!!
